Michael Hamilton: From Roof to the Lab.

For years, my office was the rooftops of Buffalo. In the construction industry, specifically roofing, your hands take a beating every single day. Between the harsh Western New York winters and the physical grit of the job, I struggled to find anything that actually healed my skin. Most lotions were mostly water and disappeared in minutes.

I knew there had to be a better way to protect and restore hardworking skin. That’s why I founded TariaCosmetics. I moved from construction to formulation, focusing on 'waterless beauty' and the power of raw, natural butters like Kokum, Shea, and Mango.

What started as a personal mission to heal my own hands has grown into a federally trademarked, artisanal skincare brand. We were recently featured on WIVB’s Daytime Buffalo, where I had the chance to share our 'Buffalo Backed' philosophy with the community. We don't do shortcuts, and we don't do fillers—just honest, zero-waste skincare that works as hard as you do."

TariaCosmetics, Handcrafted in Buffalo.

Founded by, myself, Michael Hamilton, TariaCosmetics was born out of necessity. After years in the roofing industry, I needed a skincare solution that could actually repair damaged hands. I traded the tool belt for the lab to create our signature waterless lotion bars—concentrated, sustainable, and powerful enough to handle a Buffalo winter. Our mission is simple: high-performance skincare with zero waste. Simple, waterless beauty.
